I may not have a lot of cash to spare,

I rent because I can’t afford to buy.

But I don’t wannabe a millionaire,

And all my mates will know the reason why.

Chorus

I’m never gonna be a saint,

I can’t pretend I’m what I ain’t,

I’ll be like that until the day I die.

You’ll have to take me as I am,

I like a bet, I like a dram,

Because I’m just an ordinary guy.

Oh, I can’t find a single name to drop,

And if I could I’m sure they’d soon leave me.

A foreign holiday would be a flop, spoken: (knowing my luck)

I’ll stick to places called something-on-sea.
